NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team never led and trailed by as many as 13 as the Grenadiers fell 69-59 to IU Kokomo.
Robert Sawyer had 13 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Myles Harvey had 12 points and Kerry Smith had 10.
IU Southeast (5-13, 1-4 KIAC) did not get its offense flowing all night, shooting 32 percent (17-of-54) from the field. The Grenadiers could not find their shot from the perimeter, connecting on just 5-of-24 three-point attempts.
The Cougars outscored IU Southeast in the paint 30-20.
IU Southeast hosts Brescia on Saturday at 3 p.m.
