NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Every Grenadier player scored and IU Southeast never trailed en route to a 94-65 win over Carlow University on Senior Day.
Josie Hockman had a career-high 29 points, including 19 in the second half. Senior Mary Dye had 18 points and 8 rebounds in her final home game. Michaela Harris had 10 points in the win and the Grenadiers other senior Katie Slavey had nine points. Slavey hit three of the Grenadiers' four three-pointers in the game.
IU Southeast held the Celtics to 25 points in the first half and led 48-25 at the break.
The Grenadiers (14-14, 11-7 KIAC) shot a sizzling 56 percent from the field in the game. They did most of their damage in the paint, outscoring the Celtics 50-16. Hockman 26 of her 29 points from inside the arc and scored most of her points by attacking the rim.
The IU Southeast defense forced 15 turnovers and IU Southeast was able to score 19 points off of turnovers.
IU Southeast led by as many as 32 points in the game.
The Grenadiers travel to Rio Grande for a KIAC Quarterfinal on Wednesday at 7 p.m..
