NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Four Grenadiers scored in double figures as the IU Southeast men's basketball team swept the season series with Asbury with a 67-58 win Thursday.
Kerry Smith led all scorers with 19 points, Joe Jackson had 16 points and 11 rebounds, Jacob Mills had 11 points and Demetrius Stanton had 10 points.
The Grenadiers led 31-24 at halftime and led by 10 early after Jackson hit a three. The Eagles roared by to tie the game at 41 with 10 minutes to play.
IU Southeast responded with a 21-10 run to put the game out of reach. Mills hit three big threes in the second half as he scored all of his 11 points in the last 20 minutes of the game.
IU Southeast forced 19 turnovers in the game. The Grenadiers went 0-of-10 from behind-the-arc in the first half and then hit 6-of-10 in the second half.
The Grenadiers travel to Brescia Saturday at 4 p.m.
