NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Three Grenadiers scored in double figures and every player scored as No. 19 IU Southeast rolled past Boyce College 91-48 Saturday.
Joe Jackson had 17 points to lead IU Southeast. Kerry Smith had 13 points and Jamie Johnson added 10 for the Grenadiers.
IU Southeast (4-1) forced 29 turnovers and outscored the Bulldogs 39-2 in points off turnovers. They were also able to capitalize on the fast break, outscoring Boyce 18-0 in fastbreak points.
The Grenadiers closed the half on a 15-2 run to take a commanding 47-23 to halftime.
Joe Jackson scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and Johnson scored all of his points in the first 20 minutes of play.
IU Southeast did not falter in the second half, outscoring Boyce 44-25 on 47 percent shooting from the field.
The Grenadiers were dominant in the paint, outscoring Boyce 54-14.
IU Southeast visits Bellarmine University Wednesday at 7 p.m.
