Grenadiers Dominate Simmons College 121-17 Tuesday Night

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team set a program record for largest margin of victory with a 121-17 win over Simmons College on Tuesday night.

The Grenadiers' 104-point win surpasses the 95-point win (105-10) over IU Northwest during the 2000-2001 season.

Ashley Johnson and Ashley Lyninger each had 15 points to lead the Grenadiers. Josie Woods added 13 points and Madi Woods and Lauren Camm each had 10 points.

Every Grenadier recorded at least six points in the win. IU Southeast shot 58 percent from the field in the contest.

The Grenadiers (1-1) scored 35 points off of 28 turnovers and outscored the Falcons in the paint 68-2. They held Simmons to 13 percent shooting (6-of-45) from the field. IU Southeast held Simmons scoreless until the 4:10 mark of the first quarter.

The last time the Grenadiers scored more than 100 points was Nov. 19, 2016 vs Great Lakes Christian College.

IU Southeast hosts Oakland City Saturday at 2 p.m. as part of Homecoming weekend.
