NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Every Grenadier scored and five IU Southeast players finished in double-figures as IU Southeast rolled past St. Mary-of-the-Woods 110-80 on Saturday.

Ashley Johnson had 19 points and six rebounds to lead the Grenadiers. Annie Thomas had 15 points and seven assists. Madi Woods had 15 points and a career-high nine rebounds and Josie Hockman added 11 points and five rebounds.

IU Southeast (7-2) led by as many as 37 points in the contest and were dominant in the paint, outscoring the Pomeroys 60-28.

The Grenadiers capitalized on the aggressive press of SMWC to get easy baskets on the break and moved the ball well, finishing with 27 assists in the contest.

IU Southeast jumped out to a 28-13 lead after the first quarter but the Pomeroys came back in the second quarter and cut the deficit to 49-40 at halftime. Ashley Johnson had 13 points in the first half.

The Grenadiers pulled away with a 16-1 run in the third quarter.

IU Southeast held SMWC to 32 percent shooting in the second half and the Grenadiers shot 54 percent from the field in the second half and also for the game.

IU Southeast travels to Cumberland University (Tenn.) on Dec. 9.
