NEW ALBANY, Ind.- The IU Southeast men's basketball team jumped out to a 27-2 lead and did not look back en route to a 101-59 win over IU Kokomo Tuesday.
The Grenadiers (15-7, 9-3 RSC) held IU Kokomo without a field goal until the 5:53 mark of the first half. IU Kokomo missed their first 21 shots in the contest.
Jamie Johnson had 18 of his game-high 25 points in the first half. Cody Young had 16 points and Dechaun Lewis had 13 points and seven rebounds in the win.
IU Southeast outscored the Cougars 29-2 in points off turnovers as they forced 21 in the contest. The Grenadiers were dominant in the paint, outscoring the Cougars 60-14.
The Grenadiers shot a blistering 59 percent from the field in the game and 61 percent (19-of-31) in the second half.
The Grenadiers travel to Cincinnati Christian Saturday at 3 p.m.
