Grenadiers Dominate Boyce 122-63 Tuesday

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Seven Grenadiers scored in double figures and IU Southeast led by as many as 68 points as the Grenadiers cruised past Boyce on Tuesday.

Jared Osborne led the Grenadiers with 22 points on 6-of-9 shooting from three-point range. Jamie Johnson had 21, including 19 in the first half. Brian Alvey had 15 points on five three-pointers, Nick Tinsley had 14 points, Lukas Burkman had 12 and Kerry Smith and Brandon Johnson each added 10.

IU Southeast (3-0) held Boyce to single digits until the 5:11 mark of the first half. The Grenadiers forced 28 turnovers and held the Bulldogs to 29 percent shooting from the field in the first half and 37 percent for the game.

IU Southeast shot 53 percent from the field in the first half and 62 percent from the field in the second half, including connecting on 13-of-21 threes in the final 20 minutes. The Grenadiers shot 51 percent from three-point range in the contest.

The IU Southeast bench outscored the Bulldogs' bench 65-33 and in points off turnovers 34-11.

For the third straight game, IU Southeast recorded at least 15 three-pointers in the contest. iU Southeast jumped out to a 43-7 lead with six minutes left in the first half and led 60-21 at the break.

IU Southeast travels to IU East for a tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Grenadiers will face College of the Ozarks on Friday at 7 p.m. and Michigan-Dearborn Saturday at 1 p.m.
