NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Led by their seniors on Senior Night, the IU Southeast men's basketball team earned a 93-59 decision over Midway.
Senior Demetrius Stanton led IU Southeast with 24 points, fellow senior Joe Jackson added 19 points and nine rebounds and five blocks. Jamie Johnson added 16 points and five steals.
Joe Jackson set the career rebounding record at IU Southeast with his nine rebounds on the night. He passed Mike Day's 699 rebounds which had stood since 1988.
Fellow seniors Cody Young (4 points, eight rebounds) and Jacob Mills (7 points, 3 rebounds) were also honored prior to the contest.
The Grenadiers (19-7, 13-3 RSC) led by as many as 37 points in the contest. IU Southeast doubled up Midway in the paint 48-24 and capitalized on 27 Eagle turnovers. The Grenadiers outscored Midway 31-17 in points off turnovers.
High-percentage shots led to a 51-percent shooting percentage for IU Southeast in the contest.
IU Southeast hosts Cincinnati Christian Thursday at 7:30 p.m. which was rescheduled from Jan. 13 due to inclement weather.
