NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team dropped a tight contest 66-58 to RSC West division leader Alice Lloyd College on Tuesday 66-58.
Baylee Krueger led the Grenadiers with 17 points and had six rebounds, three blocks and three steals. Annie Thomas added 14 points.
The Grenadiers (15-10, 7-7 RSC) overcame a cold shooting first quarter where they trailed 15-9. IU Southeast opened the second quarter on a 14-5 run to take the lead. But a three-pointer at the buzzer by Alice Lloyd's Miranda Wilson to give the Eagles a 33-30 lead at the break.
In the second half, the IU Southeast offense sputtered. The Grenadiers only made nine field goals in the final 20 minutes and shot 31 percent from the field in the second half.
Alice Lloyd (18-4, 11-3 RSC) put the game away with an 18-8 run at the end of the third into the fourth quarter.
IU Southeast travels to Asbury University Saturday at 1 p.m.
