Grenadiers Get Past Celtics 77-67

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – A hot shooting second half sent IU Southeast past Carlow University on Thursday.

Kelsi Scott had a season-high 28 points and 12 rebounds. Josie Hockman had 19 points and Madi Woods added 14 points.

The Grenadiers (10-10, 4-5 RSC) trailed 24-21 at halftime as both squads had poor offensive showings in the second quarter. The teams combined to score 14 points in the period.

In the second half, Scott took over as she scored 19 of her 28 points in the final 20 minutes. Josie Hockman added 15 points in the final half and Woods had 10 points.

IU Southeast closed the third quarter on a 22-10 run and led by as many as 19 in the fourth quarter.

The Grenadiers shot 58 percent from the field in the second half and were 16-of-18 from the free throw line to keep the Celtics at bay.

Emma Stille had a game-high 34 points for Carlow, which dropped to 6-12 and 2-5 in conference play.

IU Southeast hosts Point Park University Saturday at 1 p.m.
