NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Alexis Bassett had 12 kills and Parker Andres added 10 as IU Southeast swept Carlow 25-16, 25-13, 25-15 on Friday.
The Grenadiers (14-4, 4-1 RSC) recorded 51 kills and just 12 attack errors in 89 attempts for a .438 hitting percentage.
Alyssa Cosgrove added nine kills, Jennie Malone had seven kills and two blocks, Makendri Fisher had six kills and Delaney Nichols added five.
IU Southeast led 13-10 in the first set before closing the set on a 12-6 run. Parker Andres had two of the last three kills to take the first set.
In the second set, IU Southeast led 11-7 before scoring 14 of the final 20 points of the set. IU Southeast hit .500 in the second and had just three attack errors and recorded 19 kills in the set.
Andres and Bassett each had five kills in the second set.
In the third, Hannah Sipe helped serve the Grenadiers out to a 5-0 lead. Then Alyssa Cosgrove served eight straight points, including two aces as IU Southeast led 19-6. Alyssa Cosgrove had five aces and Santina Schembra and Brookelyn Clark each added two.
Hannah Sipe had 34 assists and Cosgrove added 13 assists and 10 digs.
The Grenadiers host Point Park Saturday at noon.
