Box Score NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Emmy Ralph had 19 points and Lauren Lambdin added 12 but it was not enough as the Grenadiers fell to Lindsey Wilson College 96-66 on Saturday.
The Grenadiers (2-1) trailed 19-18 at the end of the first quarter. Every Grenadier starter recorded at least two points in the opening period.
Lindsey Wilson (1-0) outscored the Grenadiers 23-12 in the second quarter behind the play of Reagan Turner, who had 17 points in the first half. She finished with a game-high 26 points. The Blue Raiders led 42-30 at halftime.
The Grenadier offense stalled in the third quarter and Lindsey Wilson's began to catch fire. After both teams struggled in the first half from three-point range, Sydnie Hall hit three three-pointers in the third quarter to blow the game open. Hall scored 18 of her 20 points in the second half. IU Southeast was outscored 31-14 in the third.
The Grenadiers shot 48 percent from the field in the fourth quarter but it was not enough to get back in the contest. IU Southeast shot 40 percent from the field in the contest but just 27 percent from behind-the-arc.
The Grenadiers travel to St. Mary-of-the-Woods on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
