MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University Southeast outfielder Santrel Farmer had a big day to earn River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week for Feb. 15-22.
The junior from Cox's Creek, Ky., was 3 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs in a doubleheader split to start the Cajun Classic on Sunday.
He was 2 for 2 with a homer and three RBIs in the Grenadiers' comeback over Benedictine (Kan.), 9-8. Farmer was 1 for 3 with an RBI despite a loss to No. 10 Central Methodist (Mo.) later in the day.
Farmer ranks third in the RSC with five stolen bases on the year and is No. 10 wiht six RBI.
IU Southeast (5-5) will be at Cumberland (Tenn.) on Tuesday. That's after going 2-2 at the Cajun Classic with a win over No. 6 LSU-Shreveport and a loss to No. 2 USAO.
