NEW ALBANY, ind. – Junior catcher Brody Tanksley has been named the River States Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Tanksley, a Bedford, Ind. native, hit .455 with a home run, double, five RBI, five walks and two runs scored in four games last week as the No.11 Grenadiers went 4-0.
Tanksley was 1-for-3 with a home run and three walks to open the week at Lindsey Wilson. He had three hits in five at-bats in a doubleheader sweep of Rio Grande on Saturday.
Tanksley currently ranks No. 21 in the NAIA with six home runs, and is tied for the conference lead with 25 hits. He is fifth in the RSC with a .424 batting average and is tied for fourth in the league with 15 RBI.
IU Southeast hosts Lindsey Wilson Wednesday at 5 p.m.
