Box Score NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Senior guard Anthony Wales Jr. has been named the River States Conference Player of the Week after his stellar start to the season, the conference announced Monday.
Wales Jr., a Louisville native, averaged 22.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists as the Grenadiers opened the season 4-0.
Wales was the team's leading scorer in three of the four contests, including a season-high 29 points at Hanover College on November 1.
He opened the season scoring 16 points and had six rebounds and four assists vs Simmons College of Kentucky.
At Campbellsville-Harrodsburg, Wales had 24 points, four assists and three steals.
He had 20 points and five assists in a 94-79 win at Miami-Middletown.
Wales ranks No. 4 in the RSC in both points per game and assists per game.
IU Southeast travels to No. 10 Georgetown College on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
