PIPPA PASSES, Ky. – The Alice Lloyd women's basketball team defeated IU Southeast 87-68 on Tuesday.

Lauren Lambdin had a game-high 23 points to lead IU Southeast. Emmy Ralph added 14 points and six assists and Leah Miller had 10 points in the loss.

An Emmy Ralph three-pointer gave the Grenadiers a 10-5 lead early in the contest but a 19-6 run by the Eagles to close the quarter gave Alice Lloyd a lead that they would not relinquish.

The Eagles were 6-of-10 from three-point range in the first half to help them pull away as the Grenadiers only hit one in the opening 20 minutes.

Alice Lloyd led 50-32 at halftime.

A three-pointer by Lambdin cut the deficit to 14 points early in the third quarter but the Eagles stopped the rally with a three-pointer of their own and extended their lead to 68-45 at the end of the third quarter.

Alex Clifton led the Eagles with 18 points and added seven rebounds in the contest. Haley Hall, Bailee Brainard and Makayla May each had 10 points for the Eagles.

IU Southeast forced 16 turnovers in the game which led to 15 points but allowed Alice Lloyd to shoot 47 percent from from the field in the game.

IU Southeast hosts Brescia University Saturday at 3 p.m.
