NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Erin Templeman has been named an assistant softball coach at IU Southeast, head coach Tiffany Buckmaster announced today.
 
Templeman was a member of the IU Southeast softball team from 2020-24. She was named to the RSC All-Conference First Team in 2021 and 2024 and was RSC All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2023.
 
She ranks top five in IU Southeast softball history in games played, hits, total bases, home runs, and runs batted in. IU Southeast clinched an NAIA Opening Round berth in three of her four seasons as a player.
 
"We couldn't be more excited to have Erin back," head coach Tiffany Buckmaster said. "Anytime you get the chance to have an [alumna] join you on the coaching staff, I think it says a lot about the program and the kids that are part of it. Erin has already begun her coaching career working in the travel ball circuit and I look forward to helping her start her collegiate career. Having had the chance to coach her the past three years, she always had a coaching mind and is very eager to learn the game. She was a great ball player at IUS and will be an even better coach."
 
Templeman has previously coached in the NKY Bandits Softball Organization as both a head coach and an assistant coach.  
 
Templeman graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology.
