NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team fell to Campbellsville in three sets (19-25, 22-25, 21-25) on Thursday.
 
The teams were tied 6-6 in the first set before a 7-1 run gave Campbellsville a 13-7 lead. Leading 17-11, the Tigers used a 5-1 run to extend their lead to 22-12. IU Southeast answered with a 5-0 run to cut the lead to 22-17, but Campbellsville would go on to take the first set 25-19.
 
Campbellsville opened the second set on an 8-2 run, but IU Southeast responded with a 7-1 run to tie the set at 9-9. The Tigers took a slight 15-12 edge, but IU Southeast was able to tie the set at 17-17 and 18-18. With the teams tied at 22-22, Campbellsville scored three straight points to take the second set 25-22.
 
IU Southeast led 7-5 early in the third set, but a 5-1 run gave Campbellsville a 10-8 edge. IU Southeast was able to tie the set at 13-13, but a 4-1 run gave the Tigers a 17-14 lead. A trio of points allowed the Grenadiers to tie the set at 17-17.
 
Campbellsville was able to extend their lead to two at 21-19. After an IU Southeast point, the Tigers scored three straight points to take a 24-20 lead. Campbellsville would go on to take the third set 25-21 and the match 3-0.
 
Allison Daves led IU Southeast with 12 kills. Ella Brooks added 11 kills and eight digs. Kacy Hornish led IU Southeast with 21 assists, and Carly Mason added 17. Kacy Hornish and Esther Woodward each had two aces.
 
IU Southeast returns to action on Friday, September 20 as they host Alice Lloyd at 7:00 PM.
