NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team swept Kentucky Christian on Friday for their third straight win.
IU Southeast jumped ahead 18-12 in set one, but Kentucky Christian fought back to cut the lead to one at 19-18. IU Southeast led 23-22, and the Grenadiers scored the final two points to take the first set 25-22.
The second set saw the teams tied at 14-14, but an 8-1 IU Southeast run put the Grenadiers ahead 22-15. IU Southeast would go on to take the second set 25-18.
IU Southeast led for the majority of the third set and cruised to a 25-18 set win, securing their third straight sweep.
Haley Jaster led IU Southeast with 13 kills.
Ella Brooks had nine kills, seven digs, and three aces.
Nicole Stratford added eight kills and eight digs.
Carly Mason had a team-high 30 assists, and
Ella Davidson led the Grenadiers with 13 digs.
"Great home win tonight!" IU Southeast Taylor Wilson-Evanczyk said. "Fundamentally we are getting better every game and that's exciting to watch!"
IU Southeast moves to 14-4 overall and 7-3 in RSC play. The Grenadiers host Shawnee State on Saturday.
