OWENSBORO, Ky. – The IU Southeast volleyball team defeated Brescia in four sets on Friday.
Set one was dominated by IU Southeast as the Grenadiers would go on to take the set 25-15.
The second set was back-and-forth early, but Brescia took and maintained a steady lead to take the set 25-20.
The third set was the closest set of the match. IU Southeast got it to set point, but Brescia tied the set at 24-24. A pair of points by the Grenadiers gave IU Southeast a 26-24 third set win.
The fourth set was very similar to the first as the Grenadiers would take the set 25-14 and the match 3-1.
"Good road win tonight!" IU Southeast head coach Taylor Wilson-Evanczyk said. "Our offense was spread out and we played as a team. Big week ahead for the Grenadiers!"
Ella Brooks led IU Southeast with 17 kills and also recorded 12 digs.
Nicole Stratford had 12 kills, 12 digs, and four aces.
Allison Daves had 11 kills and 2.0 blocks.
Carly Mason set another career high with 49 assists and also added three aces.
Madison Ramsey had a team-high 3.0 blocks, and
Ella Davidson led IU Southeast with 17 digs.
IU Southeast moves to 17-5 overall and 10-4 in RSC play. The Grenadiers begin their final week of the regular season with a road match on Tuesday against University of the Cumberlands, who is 28-0 and ranked No. 10 in the NAIA.
