NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team cruised to a 103-62 win over Ohio Christian on Saturday.
IU Southeast opened the game on a 22-0 run, holding Ohio Christian scoreless for the first five minutes of the game. The Grenadiers led 36-11 after the first quarter.
The Grenadiers led by as many as 34 in the second quarter and would lead 60-31 at halftime.
IU Southeast led 81-49 after three quarters and would go on to win 103-62.
The Grenadiers were led by
Grace Stapleton, who scored a career-high 28 points on 9-15 shooting, including going 9-9 from the free throw line.
Jesse Ledgerwood scored 20 points on 7-12 shooting, including 6-10 from three.
Morgan Roberts scored 15 points off the bench, and
Jericho Hopper added 14 points and seven rebounds.
Linzie Wernert scored 13 points and co-led the team with
Ella Brown with eight rebounds.
IU Southeast shot 51.4 percent from the field and 38.7 percent (12-31) from three. The Grenadiers went 15-17 from the free throw line.
"Proud of our start again today!" IU Southeast head coach Abby Downard said. "Great team win. This little break will be good for our bodies. Gotta keep stacking days."
IU Southeast moves to 5-7 on the year. The Grenadiers finish off 2025 with a trip to NCAA DII Kentucky Wesleyan on Dec. 31.
