NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The 14
th ranked IU Southeast softball team fell to Brescia 15-3 in seven innings on Friday.
Brescia scored a run in the first to take a 1-0 lead.
IU Southeast answered in the bottom of the first with a run that came around to score on an error to tie the game at 1-1. An RBI single by
Trevor Goodwin put IU Southeast ahead 2-1.

Ethan Burdette in the second gave the Grenadiers a 3-1 lead.
Brescia scored five in the third to take a 6-3 lead. The Bearcats scored four more runs in the fifth to take a 10-3 advantage. Five more runs in the seventh made it 15-3, which would go on to be the final score.
"Tough day today with a lack of execution," IU Southeast head coach
Brett Neffendorf said. "But I expect a good response from it."
Trevor Goodwin had the only two hits for IU Southeast, both singles.
Preston Shelton stole a base.
Nolan Bowser walked three times and was hit by a pitch.
Gavin Gentry took the loss, allowing six runs in three innings.
Zak Rasener allowed four runs in 1.2 innings, and
Gavin Sebby allowed five runs in an inning of work.
Aiden Darlage threw a perfect 1.1 innings to close the game.
No. 14 IU Southeast (20-7, 8-2 RSC) concludes their series with a doubleheader against Brescia on Saturday.
