SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team fell to SMWC in the finals of the RSC Tournament on Tuesday.
IU Southeast led 17-16 halfway through the first half. The Grenadiers led by five, but SMWC roared back. The Pomeroys led by six, but a three right before the half by
Caleb Brown cut the SMWC lead to three at 31-28.
SMWC extended their lead to 11 at 46-35. IU Southeast cut the lead to six at 50-44, but a 7-0 SMWC run made it 57-44. The Pomeroy lead never dropped below ten for the remainder of the game as SMWC secured a 76-61 win.

Wiley Brown said. "We got beat by a better team tonight. They went zone and we couldn't make shots. Back to the lab!"
Trent Hinkle had 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists for IU Southeast.
Lane Lauderbaugh had 11 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Both
Caleb Brown and
Nathaniel Hoffman had 10 points.
IU Southeast shot 41.5 percent from the field and 29.4 percent (5-17) from three. The difference came in the second half, where SMWC shot 61.5 percent while IU Southeast shot just 39.3 percent from the field.
IU Southeast has already clinched an NAIA National Tournament berth, as has SMWC. The NAIA Selection Show is scheduled for Thursday at 8PM.
