COLUMBUS, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team opened RSC play with a sweep of IU Columbus, extending their winning streak to five.
 
IU Southeast used a 12-2 run in set one to take a 16-9 lead. The Grenadiers led by as many as seven, but IU Columbus cut the lead to three. The Grenadiers would go on to take the first set 25-21.
 
The Grenadiers used a 6-1 run in set two to take a 14-11 lead. After it was 14-13, the Grenadiers lead never fell below two for the remainder of the set as IU Southeast took the second 25-20.
 
Set three was dominated by IU Southeast as the Grenadiers would roll to a 25-16 set win and a 3-0 match sweep.
 
Allison Daves led IU Southeast with nine kills. Ella Brooks had seven kills and 3.0 blocks, and Madison Ramsey added six kills and 3.0 blocks. Carly Mason had 18 assists, and Esther Woodward added 13. Nicole Stratford had a team-high 11 digs.
 
"Opening conference weekend with a road win is huge for us," IU Southeast head coach Taylor Wilson-Evanczyk said. "We've worked all season so far on being locked in, coming in with grit and keeping our foot on the gas. Excited to get back to work on Monday!"
 
IU Southeast moves to 7-1 overall and 1-0 in RSC play. The Grenadiers host their home opener on Tuesday against Oakland City.
