KOKOMO, Ind. – The IU Southeast volleyball team fell to 20
th ranked IU Kokomo in three sets on Friday, snapping the Grenadiers' eight-game winning streak.
IU Kokomo dominated set one, leading by as many as 11 points en route to a 25-16 set win.
The second set was back-and-forth. IU Southeast led 13-10 before IU Kokomo came back to take an 18-16 edge. The set was tied at 23-23, but the Cougars rattled off back-to-back points to take the second set 25-23.
IU Southeast led 14-12 in the third set, but a massive 13-2 run vaulted IU Kokomo to a 25-16 set win to complete the sweep.
Ella Brooks led IU Southeast with 13 kills while also recording 3.0 blocks and 11 digs.
Carly Mason led IU Southeast with 22 assists, 12 digs, and two aces.
Madison Ramsey had 3.0 blocks, and
Natalie Pierce had two aces.
IU Southeast falls to 10-2 overall and 3-1 in RSC play. The Grenadiers travel to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods on Saturday.
