COLUMBUS, Ind. – The IU Southeast men's basketball team hit 15 three-pointers and held IU Columbus to 26 percent shooting in an 88-54 win on Tuesday.
Every Grenadier scored in the contest as the Grenadiers were led by
Bailey Temming and
Nathaniel Hoffman's 12 points each.
Cole Thomas had 11 points and
Jaden Johnson added 10.
Jaden Johnson had 12 rebounds and
Bailey Temming added 10 in the win.
A three-pointer by
Jaden Johnson put IU Southeast in front 21-9 to start the contest. The Crimson Pride cut the lead to nine but a three by
Isaac Strunk sent the lead back to double-figures.
Nathaniel Hoffman connected from three-point range to extend the lead to 40-17. IU Southeast led 53-24 at halftime. The Grenadiers were 7-of-10 from three-point range in the half.
The Crimson Pride made just seven field goals in the opening half so they could not stay in the contest behind the Grenadiers' hot offensive attack.
IU Southeast did not shoot as well in the second half but still hit seven three-pointers to keep the lead out of reach.
The score was tied once and IU Southeast led by as many as 44 points in the second half.
The Grenadiers travel to IU East Saturday at 3 p.m.
