NEW ORLEANS - The IU Southeast baseball team fell to No. 7 Loyola University New Orleans in a doubleheader 5-2 and 10-7 on Saturday to conclude the series.

In game one, Loyola scored first in the bottom of the second inning when Jovan Swasey scored on a sacrfice fly by Reed Duthu.

IU Southeast answered back in the top of the third inning when
Kannon Stull's reached on a sacrifice bunt that was misplayed to score
Alex Schuler.
Â
Loyola was the sole scoring team in the fourth and fifth innings, scoring three runs on the Grenadiers.
Â
IU Southeast then scored the final run of the game in the seventh inning when
Kasen Parks scored after a groundout to the pitcher by Stull.

In game two, Loyola earned the lead early by scoring four runs in the first three innings. IU Southeast then answered back when
Coulter Hamilton hit the first home run of the game to right field, bringing the score of the game to 4-1 Loyola.

Loyola scored two more runs in the bottom of the fourth when Ayden Authement doubled down the left field line to score Jed Cambre and Kash Koontz.

In the sixth and seventh innings, IU Southeast found major success, scoring a total of six runs.
Trevor Goodwin kicked off the Grenadier scoring run with a double down the right field line to score
Coulter Hamilton.
Konnor Scheidt followed with a single to the right side of the field, driving in Goodwin. Scheidt came around to score on a wild pitchÂ

In the top of the seventh inning,
Kevin Moore scored after a sacrifice fly to left field by Goodwin.
Gabe Yonto scored after a groundout by Scheidt to second base to tie the game at 6-6.
Matt Santana then singled to left field to score
Coulter Hamilton and take the lead for the first time of the game.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Wolf Pack regained the lead and closed out the game with three runs, winning 10-7.Â
Gabe Yonto and
Konnor Scheidt each had two hits and Goodwin and Scheidt each drove in a pair in the loss.
IU Southeast takes on Northwestern Ohio in Kingsport, Tenn. next weekend.
