Grenadiers run-rule Campbellsville

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - IU Southeast earned its 20th win of the 2026 season after a 17-6 win over the Campbellsville Tigers Tuesday afternoon.

After being outscored 4-2 in the first four innings, the Grenadiers outscored the Tigers 15-2 in the last four innings. The rally started in the fifth inning that saw IU Southeast put up five runs. After Alex Schuler scored on a fielder's choice, Trevor Goodwin, Bryson Arnette, and Gabe Yonto all drew walks to put IU Southeast ahead. The next at-bat put the Grenadiers up three after Konnor Scheidt hit a two-RBI single to right to put the Grenadiers up 7-4.

The Tigers put up two in the bottom of the fifth but IU Southeast nullified CU's scoring with a pair of runs in the top of the sixth. Kannon Stull led off the inning with a double, then Joel Johnson reached base after an error. Stull and Johnson would steal third and second, respectively, then scored after Goodwin singled to left.

IU Southeast put the game out of reach in the top of the seventh. The Grenadiers recorded five hits, drew four walks, and took advantage of a CU fielding error en route to scoring eight runs. Eight consecutive IU Southeast batters either reached base or recorded a hit in the eighth inning.

On the mound, Kevin Moore was credited with the win. Moore pitched 2.0 innings of scoreless relief, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out two CU hitters. Moore is now 3-0 on the season.

Tuesday's win is the third win in a row for IU Southeast and its third consecutive win over a Mid-South Conference team.

The Grenadiers will be back in action on Friday in Grayson, Ky., for a three-game series against the KCU Knights. Game one on Friday is set for 1:00 p.m. while games two and three will be on Saturday starting at noon.
