OXFORD, Ohio – Officials of the River States Conference released the 2026 RSC Baseball All-Conference Teams. Season awards and the Champions of Characters Teams were released as well.
First-year Head Coach Vincent Tornincasa was named RSC Coach of the Year after his team won the 2026 RSC Regular Season Championship for the third time in the last five years.
IU Southeast had seven All-Conference selections. Brendan Whalen, Trevor Goodwin, Bryson Arnette, Caden Lockwood, and Coulter Hamilton were all First Team All-Conference.
Whalen earned First Team honors after finishing 7-0 as a pitcher. Whalen's seven wins tied him for third in the conference. Whalen also finished with 61 strikeouts, good for fifth in the conference.
Goodwin was named to the First Team after batting .340, recording 52 hits, 21 extra base hits, eight home runs, and a .444 on-base percentage. Goodwin also recorded 261 putouts in the field.
Arnette appeared in 38 games for the Grenadiers and earned First Team honors after recording a .363 batting average. Arnette recorded 53 hits, hit nine home runs and batted in 45 RBIs.
Lockwood was also named First Team All-RSC. Lockwood batted .291 with ten home runs and 37 RBIs in 41 games.
Coulter Hamilton was the Grenadiers' fifth First Team selection, recording 82 putouts and 110 fielding assists. At the plate, Hamilton batted .368, hit ten home runs, nine doubles, four triples, and 50 RBIs.
Gabe Yonto was named Second Team All-Conference. Yonto batted .322, hit nine home runs, hit eleven doubles, two triples, had 40 RBIs, and had an on-base percentage of .453.
Freshman pitcher Weston Harvey was named Third Team All-Conference. Harvey was named RSC Pitcher of the Week three times, and finished the regular season with 76 strikeouts, the second-most in the conference.
The RSC also released the 2026 RSC Softball Champion of Character Team. Those selected to the Champion of Character Team are nominated by their coaches for best exhibiting the five core values the NAIA embraces, which are Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Servant Leadership, and Sportsmanship. Representing IU Southeast softball on the 2026 River States Conference Baseball Champions of Character Team is Konnor Scheidt.
