Box Score NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Cameron and Kevin Mitchell combined for 43 of IU Southeast's 94 points to lead the 11th-ranked Grenadiers past Spalding 94-82 on Saturday afternoon.
IU Southeast (7-3) shot a sparkling 54 percent from the field, including 40 percent (8-20) from three-point range. Kevin Mitchell scored 23 points on eight of ten shooting and Cameron added 20 points and was six of eleven from the field. Cameron also had a season-high seven steals.
Parker Henes had a solid game with seven points, seven rebounds and a block.
Spalding's (2-3) Dewhon McAfee had a huge game and finished with 39 points but it was not enough to keep Spalding close.
The Grenadiers led by as many as 18 in the second half before Spalding cut the lead to nine on a McAfee jumper with 9:40 to play. IU Southeast was able to keep the margin at double-digits after that. Jake Simpson had a strong second half scoring 12 points and made key plays to keep the Grenadiers in control.
IU Southeast heads to St. Catharine on Tuesday to take on the Patriots at noon.
