NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's basketball team saw its season end as IU East defeated the Grenadiers 68-60.

Heather Wheat finished her career by scoring 27 points and had five assists and four steals. Fellow senior Megan Cureton had 12 points and Jade Spaulding added 12 big points off the bench.

The Grenadiers (19-13, 9-6 KIAC) opened the game on a 12-4 run but the Red Wolves stormed back to take a 32-29 lead in halftime.

IU Southeast fell behind by as many as 15 halfway through the second half, but the Grenadiers were able to cut the lead to 56-50 with 5:06 left to play. The Grenadiers would not get closer than that, however.

The Grenadiers forced 20 turnovers in the win but were only able to score 13 points off of them. They also committed 18 turnovers of their own.

Tia King had 25 points in the win, Mackenzie Campbell added 19 and Keragan Niehoff chipped in with 10 points.
