Missouri Baptist (39-10-1) is the No. 1 seed in the Upland bracket. They are ranked No. 7 in the final NAIA Coaches' Ratings and are the AMC Tournament Champions. The Spartans are making their 11th appearance in the opening round.

Host Taylor is the No. 2 seed and is ranked No. 17 in the ratings. The Trojans (40-14) are the Crossroads League regular-season champions and are making their 10th appearance in the opening round.

MidAmerica Nazarene is the third seed in the bracket and is No. 23 in the final ratings. The Pioneers (34-18) earned an at-large berth and are making their eighth appearance.

IU Southeast (32-18) is the fourth seed and is receiving votes in the ratings. IU Southeast earned a berth as the RSC tournament runner-up. The Grenadiers are making their ninth appearance in the opening round, and won it in 2021.

Indiana Tech (32-22) rounds out the bracket as the fifth seed. The Warriors are the WHAC Tournament champions and this is their 11th appearance in the opening round.
