Jessup (Calif.) (36-9) is ranked No. 7 in the final NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Ratings of the season and earned an at-large berth to the NAIA Opening Round. They are making their first Opening Round appearance in school history and are the top seed in the Opening Round bracket.
Host William Carey (38-12) is the second seed in the bracket and is ranked No. 14 in the final ratings. The Crusaders are the regular season/tournament champions of the Southern States Athletic Conference and are making their eighth opening round appearance.
Reinhardt (42-8) is the third seed in Hattiesburg and are ranked No. 20 in the ratings. The Eagles are the regular season and tournament champions of the AAC. This is their fourth opening round appearance.
IU Southeast (34-16) is seeded fourth in the bracket and are making their third opening round appearance. The Grenadiers are the River States Conference regular season champions.
Stillman (Ala.) (35-13) is the fifth seed and is making their first opening round appearance. The Tigers are an at-large selection.
