Trent Hinkle has been named the River States Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, the RSC announced on Monday.
Hinkle, a guard from Louisville, Ky., was dynamite on both sides of the ball for IU Southeast this past week. He averaged 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 2.0 steals for the Grenadiers.
In a massive 87-75 win over Lindsey Wilson, Hinkle had 24 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds, and three steals in an all-around performance.
In a narrow 77-68 loss to NCAA DII Kentucky Wesleyan, Hinkle had 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
On the season, Hinkle is averaging 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
