JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The IU Southeast men's golf team finished 6
th out of 14 teams at The East Tennessee Collegiate, their second tournament of the year.
After Round 1, the Grenadiers sat in good position. IU Southeast was tied for third with a score of -6.
Westin Allen shot a 68 and was tied for 3
rd after round 1.
Luke Graston was tied for 16
th with a 71, as was
Rossi Hamilton.
Evan Trester shot E and was tied for 21
st.
Johnathan Clifton was +2 and tied for 36
th.
Round 2 was a struggle for the Grenadiers. IU Southeast shot +12 on day two, finishing +6 and in sixth place.
Westin Allen followed up his 68 with a 71 to finish the tournament tied for fourth at -5.
Rossi Hamilton finished the tournament tied for 27
th at +2.
Luke Graston was +5 and finished tied for 40
th.
Johnathan Clifton was tied for 44
th with a +6, and
Evan Trester finished 48
th with a score of +7.
"We played pretty solid day one with Westin, Luke, and Rossi all under par but started off slowly on day two and couldn't recover," IU Southeast head coach
Matt Graston said. "This tournament had some strong teams so playing well both days was a must. We will take some things from this and learn from our experience. We'll take positives from it as well as areas of improvement we need to work on."
IU Southeast next plays in the RSC Fall Preview, which begins on September 29.
