EDINBURG, Ind. – IU Southeast men's golf came in fourth place at the Timbergate Preview hosted by Spalding University this past weekend. It was a two round, par 72 tournament.
Blaine Hamilton had the highest individual finish, a 145 (+1), landing him tied for fourth. Hamilton shot even in round one, with birdies on holes four and seven. Hamilton had six birdies in round two, and also had the best par four scoring average in the tournament at 3.85.
Westin Allen finished tied for seventh. Allen's best round came in round one, where he shot an even 72 and had four birdies on the back nine.
Gabe Lamb shaved off one stroke from his round one score.
Johnathan Clifton competed as an individual but also improved his scores between the rounds. Clifton shot a 81 in round one and 78 in round two.
The Grenadiers came in fourth place out of eleven teams. In the advanced stats, the Grenadiers had the second best par four scoring at 4.21, were second in total pars, and fourth in total birdies.
