RICHMOND, Ky. – IU Southeast men's golf finished second at the Alice Lloyd College Spring Invitational this weekend.
Westin Allen finished first in the individual standings, shooting a 137 (-3) through two rounds. In round one, Allen birdied holes eight, ten, and 15, then eagled on 16. In round two, Allen birdied on seven, nine, eleven, and 16.
Blaine Hamilton finished tied for ninth place, shooting a 72 in both rounds and finished with a 144 (+4). Hamilton's best run came at the end of round one, when he birdied in three of the last four holes. Gabe Lamb came in 25th place, Rossi Hamilton finished tied for 34th, Caeden Uhl finished tied for 46th, and Cameron Kirtley finished tied for 57th.
As a team, the Grenadiers shot +33 and came in second out of 13 teams. The Grenadiers had the second-best stats in par four scoring (4.19) and the third best stats in par three scoring (3.50).
The men's golf team will be back in action on April 11th in Edinburgh, Ind., for the Timbergate Preview tournament hosted by Spalding University.
