NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Redshirt Sophomore pitcher
Emma Davis has been named River States Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
The Loogootee, Ind. native threw a total of 8.1 scoreless innings to help with the Grenadier's wins against IU South Bend.
In her first game of the doubleheader, Davis pitched three innings of relief with two strikeouts and gave up two hits during IU Southeast's 4-3 win.
In the second game of the day, Davis played a major role in the 8-0 run rule against IU South Bend, throwing all five innings with no runs scored.
Davis is starting her season off 4-0 with a 3.25 ERA. The four wins are first in the RSC, and the ERA is fourth. Davis is also first in the conference with 15 strikeouts.
