PLYMOUTH, Ind. - IU Southeast men's golf competed in the Bethel University Invitational earlier this week. The tournament took place at the Pretty Lake Golf Course, and it was a par-72, three-round tournament.  

Evan Trester had IU Southeast's highest individual finish, finishing +6 for the tournament and tied for tenth in the player leaderboard. Trester's best round came in round one when he recorded six birdies. Trester finished the tournament strong with birdies on holes 15 and 18 during round three.  

Zane Hammond finished tied for 14th place after finishing +8, with his best round coming in round two when he birdied 17 and 18 to finish even. Coming in two spots behind Zane was Blaine Hamilton. Blaine's best round came in round three when he shaved three strokes off his scores from rounds one and two.  

Johnathan Clifton shot a 76 in all three rounds of the tournament and finished tied for 27th, and Rossi Hamilton rounded out the Grenadiers' results by improving his score in round three by three strokes.  

As a team, the Grenadiers finished tied for fifth place out of the ten teams present, including four spots ahead of another River States Conference opponent, IU Kokomo. IU Southeast finished +35 as a team and had their best collective round in round three.  

Grenadier men's golf will be back in action in Daniels, W.Va., on Sept. 28-29 for the River States Conference Men's Preview at The Resort at Glade Springs golf course.
