No. 21 Grenadiers Blow Past St. Louis College of Pharmacy 84-31

NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The No. 21 IU Southeast women's basketball team defeated the St. Louis College of Pharmacy 84-31 Saturday afternoon in the Southeast Activities Building.

The Grenadiers (21-5, 10-0 KIAC) started the game off strongly on both ends of the court. The Grenadiers held the Eutectics scoreless for the first 6:30 of the game. The Grenadiers jumped out to a double-digit lead almost immediately. Ashmere Woods led the way scoring 14 points in the first half.

At halftime, IU Southeast led 41-16. The Grenadiers' strong defense continued in the second half. They held the Eutectics to 30 percent shooting for the game and forced 24 turnovers.

The bench contributed greatly to the victory. Ashmere Woods led all scorers with 22 points and eleven rebounds. Kylee Anthony scored a career-high 20 points in eighteen minutes of play. The Grenadiers outrebounded the Eutectics 45-21. IU Southeast shot 50 percent for the game.

The Grenadiers are back in action at home on Thursday Feb. 17 against Cincinnati Christian at 7 p.m. It will be Senior Night for the Grenadiers so be sure to arrive early for the festivities.

Ticket prices for the event are $7 for adult general admission and free of charge for children 10 years old or younger. IU Southeast Faculty, Staff and Students will be admitted FREE of charge with UCARD.
