NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Indiana University Southeast sophomore Justin Hurst was named the KIAC baseball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 18th.
Hurst, a native of Ferdinand, Ind., led IU Southeast to a 3-0 record last week and finished the week with a batting average of .857 (6-for-7). He ended the week with six runs scored, two doubles, two home runs, and six runs batted in. Hurst is currently batting .355 (38-for-107) and leads the team with five home runs and thirty-five runs batted in. IU Southeast leads the KIAC with a conference record of 17-2.
The Grenadiers will return to action on April 19th when they host Pikeville College.
