NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Tyler Yotkewich has been named the head coach of IU Southeast baseball, Athletic Director Tod Bannister announced.

"We are excited to welcome Tyler back to the IU Southeast baseball family. He has a strong connection to our program and the greater Southern Indiana region, having played in two NAIA World Series as a Grenadier," Bannister said. "Tyler has a proven track record as a coach and recruiter and understands the expectations that come with leading this program. IU Southeast baseball has become a true community treasure, and we look forward to seeing the program continue to grow and elevate under Tyler's leadership."

Yotkewich comes to IU Southeast from the Marion Military Institute in Marion, Ala., where he was the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. His duties included pitching mechanics, overseeing field operations, recruiting, fundraising, and more. Marion baseball's overall team GPA also improved during Yoktewich's time there.

Prior to Marion, Yotkewich had a year-long stint at Frontier Community College in Fairfield, Ill., where he was the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator as well. While on Frontier's staff, Yotkewich aided the Bobcats to 36 wins in 2025, tying a program best.

"I am extremely thankful to the administration at IU Southeast for the opportunity to head a program that helped turn me into the person I am today," Yoktewich said. "IU Southeast baseball has been on a very successful run over the last few years, and I want to build on that success and get the program to the highest place it can be."

Before he was a coach, Yotkewich was a member of the IU Southeast baseball team for four seasons. Yotkewich was on the 2021 and 2024 NAIA World Series teams, won three River States Conference Championships, and was a two-time all-conference pitcher for the Grenadiers.

Yotkewich, a native of Johnson City, Ill., holds undergraduate and master's degrees from IU Southeast.
