Box Score INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Southeast women's basketball team fell to the IUPUI Jaguars 92-63 on Monday night.
Heather Wheat had 18 points and Mary Dye added 11 in the loss.
The Grenadiers (6-5) kept it close in the first half with a hot shooting performance and solid defense. IU Southeast shot 12-21 from the field for 57 percent.
IU Southeast held the Jaguars to just 1-7 shooting from three-point range in the opening half and 45 percent shooting from the field.
Even though they were outrebounded 11-3 on the offensive boards, they only trailed by seven at the break, 40-33.
The second half saw the Jaguars open the frame on an 8-0 run. The Grenadiers were able to cut the lead to 50-43, but IUPUI responded with an 24-9 run to put the game away.
IUPUI (8-5) outrebounded IU Southeast 28-12 in the second half.
Mikale Rogers had 24 points for the Jaguars.
