NEW ALBANY, Ind. - The IU Southeast women's tennis team opened conference play Saturday with a 6-3 win over Brescia.

The Grenadiers (1-1, 1-0 KIAC) picked up two doubles points to open the match. The No. 1 team of Katie Walsh/Whitney Batliner defeated JanaLindenthal/Dakota Durrett 8-6 and the No.3 team of Katherine Clark/Katie Morrison defeated Emily Hellinger/Leanne Myers 8-2.

Though the top two singles players lost for IU Southeast, the rest of the lineup picked up singles victories in straight sets.

IU Southeast will visit Franklin College Sunday at 10 a.m.
