NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast women's tennis team extended its winning streak to three matches with a convincing 7-2 win over NCAA Division III Franklin College on Sunday.

The Grenadiers (3-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead with quick wins at each of the doubles positions. Whitney Batliner and Dana Frank defeated Melissa Sanders and Chelsea Howell 8-2. Katie Morrison and Haley Jones won 8-0 over Emily Helvie and Bethany Harris and Maddie Ikerd and Katie Walsh defeated Rebecca Bonomini and Julie Bazan 8-3.

IU Southeast lost close matches at their top two singles spots. Whitney Batliner fell 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-3), 0-1 (4-10). Katie Walsh lost to Bethany Harris 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

The Grenadiers dominated the rest of singles with straight set wins. Haley Jones defeated Emily Roberts 6-4, 6-3, Dana Frank got past Chelsea Howell 6-3, 6-3, Katherine Clark won 6-3, 6-2 over Kayla Walker and Katie Morrison defeated Chelsea Platt 6-2, 6-2.

IU Southeast heads to Brescia University next Saturday for a 1 p.m. ET match.
