OWENSBORO, Ky. – The IU Southeast women's tennis team defeated Brescia University 7-2 on Saturday in a matchup of the KIAC's top teams.

The Grenadiers (4-2, 2-0 KIAC) picked up easy victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Katie Morrison and Haley Jones defeated Dakota Durrett and Naruemon Wiriyachon 8-3. Maddie Ikerd and Katie Walsh rolled past Emily Hellinger and Tarsila Duck 8-1.

In singles play, IU Southeast got quick straight set wins at No. 3-5 positions. Dana Frank won 6-3, 6-1 over Wiriyachon and Katherine Clark defeated Hellinger 6-0, 6-2. Haley Jones clinched the match when she defeated Durrett 6-0, 6-2,

Morrison defeated Duck 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (4) and Whitney Batliner defeated Danielle du Plooy 6-4, 6-4.

IU Southeast hosts Asbury University Monday at 4 p.m.
