Box Score NEW ALBANY, Ind. –Kaylee Bennett and Megan Cureton to hit clutch three-pointers down the stretch and the Grenadiers hung on for a 60-56 win over NCAA Division III Wilmington College on Saturday.
Cureton had a game-high 15 points, Heather Wheat had 12 points, six assists and five rebounds and Haley Pace added 10 points and eight rebounds.
With the Grenadiers clinging to a 49-48 lead, Megan Cureton hit a three-pointer with 2:50 to play. After the Quakers missed a three-point try on their next possession, Heather Wheat scored off a drive into the paint and got a layup to make it 54-48 Grenadiers.
Off a Wheat block, Bennett hit a three-point for three of her five points on the day and made 57-48 with 1:09 to play.
After back-to-back IU Southeast turnovers, the lead was cut to 59-56 but Mary Dye hit one of two free throws to seal the win.
Brittaney Jefferson and Ashley Andracki each had 12 points for Wilmington.
IU Southeast (10-5) heads to Brescia on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. ET contest.
