Men's Tennis Falls To Bellarmine Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The IU Southeast men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Bellarmine University on Sunday.

The Grenadiers (2-4) opened the match with strong doubles play at the top two spots.

The No. 1 pairing of Nick Roby and Jacob Rankin lost by a narrow margin 9-7 to Anton Rabinov and Alan Gardiner and Jonathan James and Chris Braun cruised to a 8-2 win over Jose Legaretta and Zachary Kuo at the No. 2 spot.

In singles action, the Grenadiers got a quick point by Bryson Mills jumping out to a 4-1 lead before Gardiner retired. Bellarmine took the remaining singles matches in straight sets.

The Grenadiers host Hanover on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
