Men's Tennis Opens Alabama Trip With 7-2 Win Over Point Univ.

AUBURN, Ala. - The Grenadiers got off to a great start on their spring trip by defeating Point University 7-2.

The match was moved indoors to Auburn University and the Grenadiers jumped out to a quick lead by taking all three doubles points. Trent Wallace opened singles play by taking number 3 singles and giving the Grenadiers their 4th point. Point University fought back taking No. 1 and No. 2 singles. No. 4 through 6 singles took the courts with the Grenadiers leading 4-2 needing just one win to clinch the match. IU Southeast took all three matches to claim the victory. Chris Braun needed to play just an 8 game pro set due to time restrictions but managed to clinch the match with an 8-5 win at No. 6 singles.

IU Southeast (4-4) takes NCAA Div. I Alabama State today at 1 p.m.
